No your warranty is intact. All OEM's write in their contract, which comes with the Printer, that the warranty is not void if you use refilled or remanufactured cartridges. Only if it is proven that the cartridge directly caused damage to a Printer, they can charge to repair that part.

Printer Mart provides repair/replacement of a printer part directly damaged by our recycled or remanufactured cartridges without any cost to you.

If the components like toner or ink, drum, blades etc are sub-standard and the processes are not proper, they can damage your printer and reduce its life. For example, if a Drum or blades in a Laser cartridge are not replaced, then it can result in leakage & hence definitely reduce the life of a printer. Also if the cartridge components do not move freely, it can cause serious damage to the printer.

However when a cartridge is recycled using reliable components & processes and is tested thoroughly, the possibility of leakage or any other malfunction is almost eliminated. Hence using a properly recycled or remanufactured cartridge does not affect the printer life.

If the components like toner or ink drum, blades etc are sub-standard and the processes are not proper, they can damage your printer and reduce its life. For example, if a Drum or blades in a Laser cartridge are not replaced, then it can result in leakage and spoil your printer.

When one is using a refilled cartridge the possibility of leakage on account of partially worn out / damaged / consumed components is there. One can use a recycled or remanufactured toner cartridge to eliminate this possibility.

No of times of recycling of an ink or a tone cartridge depends upon time span of usage, components being used and the recycling process. Normally it can be recycled several times however the performance of the cartridge deteriorates with every cycle.

The "Core" or "Empty" cartridge is what has been supplied by the OEM. In Laser Toners, all worn out, damaged and consumed parts are replaced with high quality components with proven track record.

Quality of the recycled or remanufactured cartridge will vary from one to another depending on their component quality norms, recycling processes and testing mechanism. A properly remanufactured cartridge's performance is equivalent to an OEM cartridge in terms of print quality and no. of pages. So evaluate your supplier accordingly.

Stationers in the neighbourhood, who usually provide refilling services treat refilling as one of their many businesses. Typically they out source refilling activity and have no mechanism or inclination for quality control & testing.

Most dedicated refillers, it observed that have no infrastructure for quality control for components & testing. Usually such operations are drill & fill and their performance standard & reliability are questionable.
